After using the iPhone 4S for a solid 24 hours, I’ll be slowly posting my observations and thoughts on how I think the iPhone 4S compares to the iPhone 4.
One of the big features for me, since I’ll be traveling a lot in the coming year, is the video recording. Not necessarily because it records at 1080p, but because it includes image stabilization! If you’ve seen video shot with an iPhone 4, you’ve probably felt quite sick at times. It’s very difficult to hold an iPhone still while recording. With the image stabilization, there’s a bit of blurring, but nothing major. Take a look at the video below, to see how it compares. Make sure to watch in HD! (Click the 360p button at the bottom)
In terms of the 8MP camera, it’s certainly an improvement, especially when it comes to the sharpness/color tone. Most people may not be able to tell there’s a big difference, but if you know what you’re looking for, you’ll be able to tell that the photos come out much sharper, and the new sensor works much better in low light.
